Rudie Rodgers

Like many active money managers, PenDex Advisors, LLC. founder Rudie Rodgers began his career in an industry unrelated to investments and asset management.  During the 8 years as a drilling fluids specialist in the oil services industry, Rudie first became involved in the stock markets in 1978.  Upon returning to college, Rudie graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a B.S. in Finance in 1988 and a B.S. in Accounting in 1990 while working as the Head of the Management Information Systems department for a local rehabilitation hospital.

Rudie’s experience into the equities and options’ markets began in 1978 while working in the oil services industry.   In 1990, Rudie joined a group of investors in founding The Trust Company of Louisiana, later to renamed Argent Financial Group Inc.  Rudie attained designations through successful completion for the Series 4, 7, 24, 55, 63, and 65 exams.  For 16 years, he served as the Executive Vice President for the Argent brokerage subsidiary, Argent Advisors, Inc.  During his tenure at Argent, the amount of assets under management grew substantially.

With the advent of index mutual funds and then the creation of inverse index mutual funds, in 1999 Rudie set aside the conventional “buy and hold” mentality and developed a unique strategy designed to position investment allocation with the opportunity for capital appreciation in rising or falling markets.  A pleasant additional benefit of this strategy was the heightened level of risk management.  No longer would gains be allowed to languish, left to the natural economic or seasonal fluctuations; all in the hopes for an ever rising stock market.

PenDex Advisors, LLC was founded in 2006 and has easily out-performed the overall U.S. stock market since inception.
